Statement Following Recent HMRC News

by on August 31, 2022

We would like to address the recent news from HMRC around a payroll provider who has a similar name to our organisation.

For clarification, we are payme, an FCSA and Professional Passport accredited payroll provider. There is an organisation which is being investigated as a tax avoidance promoter, named PAYEme Ltd.

We would like to reiterate to all contracts and agencies that we are not affiliated with PAYEme in any way.

There are key differences which can be highlighted to determine the difference:

The name of our organisation is payme (without the extra ‘e’), and our registered address is Equinox 2, Audby Lane, Wetherby, West Yorkshire LS22 7RD, UK, whereas the organisation under investigation is named PAYEme Ltd, and is based at 3rd Floor 8 Princess Parade, Liverpool, L3 1DL.

We are accredited by both FCSA and Professional Passport. More information for both of these accreditations can be found below:

Our branding is also considerably different. You can recognise us, payme, through our logo and brand, as seen below:

The provider being investigated, PAYEme, has yellow branding with an extra ‘e’ in the company name.

All activity conducted by ourselves, payme, is fully compliant, robust and reliable.

If you have concerns around tax avoidance schemes, you should contact HMRC as quickly as possible by calling 03000 534 226.

Otherwise, if you have further questions please contact us on 0333 200 0845.
